New members are welcome. Here is who can join, what it costs, and how to apply.
Who can join
- Only people whose home is in the Helderberg will be considered — Somerset West, Strand, Gordon's Bay and Macassar.
- No new senior (adult) track and field athletes.
- Juniors can no longer join on their own. A parent or guardian must be a full member of the club — and a member for more than one year. Confirm with the membership secretary before applying.
- All junior applications, new and renewal, must be received and processed before 28 February.

- A junior can only join if a parent or guardian is a full member of the club. Please confirm with the membership secretary before paying anything.
- Family rates require an existing full member at the same address.
- Members joining between 1 October and 31 December are covered through the following year.
- All junior applications, new and renewal, must be received and processed before 28 February.
- In some cases the membership secretary may add a R413 travel charge for collecting the licence from the WPA offices in Cape Town.
Junior membership. A junior cannot join on their own — a parent or guardian must be a full member of the club. Because the fee depends on that, there is no standalone junior price. Please contact the membership secretary at membership@helderbergharriers.co.za before paying anything.
